Talent from The Kubert School

Gary Fields
First job after finishing school: Doing art and paste-ups at local print shop.
Current job: Illustrator at Garan (Garanimals) infant/toddler boy's apparel artist
Reason I love my job: Commuting into the city is a tough grind, but I get to create some fun art for these
t-shirts.
Current city: Wayne, NJ
I started drawing when: I could hold a crayon
Favorite artist: Tough to name just one so I'll have to go with Robert Crumb.
Favorite book: WHO HAS TIME TO READ REAL BOOKS?
Film I could watch over and over: Con Air
I’m listening to usually nothing or podcasts while I work.
Last comic book I read: BOOM BOX 2014 MIX TAPE an anthology by Boom Studios.
Drawing instrument of choice: Really depends on what I'm doing: sketchbook is a .05 Micron, finished inked work, a Hunts 513 pen nib or Artpen, or Wacom tablet in Illustrator and Photoshop.
Currently working on: My own mini comix and comic book work, writing a children's book, and finishing up a Flophouse Friends trading card set.
You can find my work on my blog: www.garyfieldsstudios.blogspot.com
Attended The Kubert School from 1980 to 1984
